For the past 15+ years I have studied the value of faculty leaders collecting and then leading the whole faculty in the study student cognitive engagement, including the importance of Higher-Order/Deeper thinking during learning. Two years ago I began development of a process for studying the same process when all forms of technology are being used to support the learning experience. That has been a stimulating focus for me and the work promises to be insightful and valuable for schools using the IPI-Technology process. No other formats provide an established, reliable system for codifying student cognitive engagement while also factoring in the way tech is being used to support the learning. This endeavor has been a joy for me to tackle and develop and now that schools are beginning to use the process, it is rewarding to see what they are learning from the process.
